The Special Edition Fezzes for Hope!

It's 2010 and we're doing it again! We've got a new design that we are using to help raise funds for the City of Hope Hospital through a rather cool way... a Dance-a-thon!

The 'Lindy Hop for Hope' is a 24-hour swing dance held this year in Orange County, California on March 13th/14th. All of the participants, bands, teachers, dj's and performers are volunteers. We've set up a team called the Cult of the Eye and we're looking to raise money any way we can. (short of street corners)

We have all been touched in one way or another by cancer. 11 years ago the Fezmonger Jason survived Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and it was that same year as his radiation treatments that he made his first fez. Now to celebrate a decade of being a cancer free, Jason has created yet another fez to raise funds. We're also making last year's fez available again for a limited time.

Now speaking as not only a past cancer patient but also as a current bald guy, Jason can attest to the comfort of a soft velvet fez with a quilted lining. The perfect gift for anyone currently struggling with induced hair loss. So if you know someone in your life that is currently facing this sort of challenge -or just has a thing for hats- consider getting them one of these comfortable noggin toppers.

We are making these fezzes as a way to say thank you for supporting us and this worthy cause. This is the first time we have attempted a 2-tone on our tall fez style and it is the first time we have used tapa fabric on a tall fez. I will make one specially for you if you make a $100 donation for me. I am hand cutting and sewing these for those of you that are generous enough to donate to the Dance-a-thon and I only have enough of this tapa cloth to make 13 of them! ...and they are all gone!
