It's time to break out the birch branches, rattle those chains, and have a truly Victorian Christmas... and I don't mean one of those namby-pamby revisionist Dickensian ones either. Back by popular demand -and an abundance of naughty children- the Krampus has returned and this time he's ready to hand out some lashings.
We've completely revamped our annual wintery fez for 2012 with a larger design, greater detail and a bit more attitude. That's right, Krampus is back and he's ready to crack open a box of Christmas cheer.
The new Krampus 2.0 will be available for pre-order until Krampusnacht on December 6th at which time he will take his birch branch, his rusty chains and a basket full of naughty children and scamper back to the netherworld until next year.

This Mark VI fez features an Antique Brass tassel grommet and is pictured with a Pewter tassel. We recommend the optional Antique Brass vents.

"The word Krampus originates from the Old High German word for claw (Krampen). In the Alpine regions, Krampus is represented by a demon-like creature accompanying Saint Nicholas. Krampus acts in conjunction with Saint Nicholas; the latter gives gifts to good children, while the Krampus gives warnings and punishments to the bad children. Traditionally, young men dress up as the Krampus in the first two weeks of December, particularly in the evening of December 5, and roam the streets frightening children and women with rusty chains and bells."
